Mardi Gras in Shreveport/Bossier

I've found that most people are surprised to find out that Shreveport/Bossier even celebrates Mardi Gras, let alone has a large turnout. In honor of Mardi Gras Upstate (what they call our Mardi Gras celebration,) I figured I would post some photo galleries of the festivities from the Shreveport Times' website. 1. Krewe of Aesclepius - final parade of the season, held on Fat Tuesday:

Well it looked like everyone was really enjoying Mardi Gras in Shreveport! I've never been to Mardi Gras up in Shreveport, but I'd love to check it out.
