Not a big fan of the parking ramp entrance from 4th St. Gets in the way of the counter-flow bus lane and downtown already has more parking than is necessary.

I think the parking ramp is deffinitely a plus for the library since I believe that if you are getting a book and returning something the parking will be free. People will be better served if they have a close place to park whil going in to do some research rather than having to pay an extra $5 to get a free book.

One of the neat things besides the architecture is that the green roof integrated into the building will help limit the buildings footprint, from lower energy costs to less water runoff this will help serve as a model to other developments in the city. Already there are a number of buildings with green roofs and this is a great addition to the list.

While I was in Hamburg, Germany green roofs were one of the aspects that quickly caught my attention and I cannot wait for more projects to spout their own here in the Twin Cities. :yahoo:
