Newport News History

The Yoder Dairy was long a fixture of life in Newport News, VA. The 140' Gothic style barn was built in 1935 by the Mennonite Yoder family who delivered fresh milk to retail customers on the same day it was produced.

Isn't it amazing how the Yoder Dairy barn has changed from a cow coupe to a performing arts stage?

I remember that area with Yoder dairy, and how you could see cows on the fields there, as recently as the mid 80s. Patrick Henry mall opened in 1987 or 1988, which started that area's transformation from rural to suburbia on steroids

I like Hilton Village, you could consider it the "original" Port Warwick. It needs something to up the "cool" factor, like Ghent in Norfolk.
