Riverdale Transportation Issues

There was an interesting article on KTHV's website about traffic solutions in the Riverdale area. One that caught my attention was a "midtown expressway" running from pike ave in NLR south to i630 west of the capitol.

There was an interesting article on KTHV's website about traffic solutions in the Riverdale area. One that caught my attention was a "midtown expressway" running from pike ave in NLR south to i630 west of the capitol.

I don't think much of the "midtown expressway" idea. But if it ran from Cantrell north across the river up Pike to I-40 as a parkway it could be nice. Also, I would like to see light rail from the Train Station through Riverdale to Highway 10. Then the trolley could be extended down Markham to the Train Station.

If they were going to build a midtown expressway, it would seem to be that it should be more centered between 430 and 30...as they have it drawn on that map, it would be too close to 30 and not even close to 430,
