By the way, does everyone know what pearl drinks/bubble teas are? They are the cool asian drinks with tapioca pearls in them, big in Boston & NY, but haven't seen if they are around Providence and I'm not sure if people will know what they are, what do you guys think?

It's looking like a great lineup, but if you've got someone there doing bubble tea? I'll be sooo definitely there...

Almost a Farmers Market....

Due to some red tape with the city's of Pawtucket's peddlers licensing and a lack of saleable goods caused by a rainy early growing season for some RI farmers this year, opening day for the Pawtucket Farmers Market didn't kick off quite as anticipated.

Thanks to the few vendors, the volunteers and everyone who came by looking to shop today, please bear with us, as with many things that get started up in Pawtucket, it takes a little time to iron out the kinks with the city.

More info to come, and fear not, there will be a Farmers Market in Pawtucket!

It may be noted somewhere else, but if not, it should be... the Indoor Farmer's Winter Market at Hope (ugh...) Artiste Village is super awesome. Large, with many vendors... seafood, grass-fed beef, dairy, chocolate, breads, and of course veggies and seasonal goodness. Saturdays 11 to 2pm. Check it out.

Pawtucket Farmers' Market at Slater Mill starting June, 7 2009. 12-3pm

Hi friends o' Farmers' markets and all things Pawtuckian,

We will be expanding the Pawtucket Farmers' Market this year into the Slater Mill parking lot downtown. Please come see us in our new spot!!

Our market runs in the summer time in Downtown Pawtucket (formerly at the Exchange St. and Broadway location). We are adding some cool new vendors this year to our lineup of regulars. These include Kafe Lila's frozen ice treats, Kristin, a local cupcakerie, Hopkins Farm, canned and baked goods and Chris' Treats Gluten-free and gourmet Breads. As always we'll be accepting WIC, EBT, Cash and Credit.
