That's a terrible tragedy. We really need more railroad grade separations, everywhere.

I don't know the situation surrounding this incident, but everyone needs to remember. Be MORE careful crossing railroad tracks than you are crossing a road! Even if trains only come by once a day. Regardless of whether you're in a car or on foot. Unlike cars, trains can't swerve and can't stop in time.

Tragedies like this can be avoided. Always! expect a train.

Miss Deaf Texas could have been killed just as dead by a car, an airplane, a motorcycle, or an ox wagon. In fact, I shudder to think at how many Miss Deaf Texases were slain in automobile accidents during the time it took to write this post.

Lol, I was thinking the same thing. When I first read the topic, I thought, oh great, one person dies by train and someone is gonna use that as an excuse to knock rail transit by branding it unsafe. I don't think that was really the poster's intention though.
