Wal Mart Returns to Sherwood?

I never knew that they left. A Little Rock lawyer claims they will be building on hwy 107 and Maryland Ave.

Apparently Wal Mart, Best Buy, and Furniture Row all left Sherwood and moved south into North Little Rock in 2004. Did those stores take over existing buildings or build new ones?

They just moved a couple miles down 67/167 from the part of Sherwood that borders NLR to the main retail drag of NLR closer to McCain. The main reason they did it was to add a grocery store to the Wal-Mart when WM decided to take on Kroger in the LR area grocery market. The new location is probably more central in Sherwood. Jacksoville has a Wal-Mart within just a few miles of Sherwood as well and with Cabot this will be the 4th on that 67/167 strip Northeast of Little Rock.

Wal-Mart to Return to Sherwood

Wal Mart built new. Best Buy did the same and built in the same center as Toys R Us. It sucks. Furniture Row took over the old Home Quarters building.
