DeSoto County--137,000, up 7,000 from 2004 (32nd fastest growing in the US)

I don't think it suprises anyone Desoto is the fastest growing area in the metro. Memphis' growth has been rather low and our population growth is mostly immigration and more births than death. Immigration is a good sign for future growth though because its likely that immigrants will bring their family and friends who in turn bring their family and friends etc...
