A lot of it is an absence of a strong local promoter and lack of corporate support.

An example is Knoxville and their Sundown in the City Series. AC Entertainment owner Ashley Capps, the dominant promoter in Knoxville and half of the popular Bonaroo Concerts, books it and always has a great mix of groups.

If Knoxville can do this there is no reason Nashville can not figure it out. It is embarassing at this point. Hopefully someone will step up.

First time Nashville poster, but from the city. Dancin in the District was created to keep downtown workers' in the city after hours. Back then, there wasn't nearly as much to do after work. But, wtf? What a showcase D in the D was for Nashville. If the city wants to attract residential downtown growth, it makes sense to keep D in the D going. The downward spiral for D in the D was obviously charging to get in and moving it across the river. What a preliminary shame. I hope and bet someone will keep this great showcase alive.
