The Triangle district of Oklahoma City proposes a new live-work-play neighborhood in downtown. The OKC downtown revival has not yet reached this portion of the inner city, but now it will come in in full force. At 781 residential units, it is the largest project and accounts for almost half of the 2,000 units proposed/under construction for downtown OKC.

It's also interesting that TAPArchitecture- the firm responsible for the Triangle, is advertising on billboards in the suburbs! Suggesting that suburbanites should "Reinvent your morning commute."

This is definitely my favorite project that has been announced for Oklahoma City, and I think it will have a major impact on downtown.

Is that a freight rail line off to the left in the large map? Any plans for transit or existing transit?

Yes that's the existing Santa Fe rail lines that are elevated through downtown.

Other than the modern streetcar rail system and a N-S commuter rail line with a possible east/west spur, there are no rail transit plans for SF

I've read about this project somewhere before. I think it's a great addition to downtown Oklahoma City. I still plan on getting up that way soon to check out Bricktown and everything else. Having a plan like this to tie Bricktown in with the other surrounding areas should help make that are much more vibrant.
