River House or Tall House

Apparently they are serious about Tall House. There is a crew on site this morning drilling soil samples.

A little background information... when they took down the old Milner Hotel to build 70 Ionia, they found horrible soils underneath (basically it was quicksand). It set the construction process back three or four months, mostly becuase it was a surprise and the foundations had to be redesigned.

Tall House is right across the street so I can't believe the soils are much different.

From the mailer I received today they will be starting construction in May.

Someone had said that ground breaking is Monday May 1st. There must be a Mayday joke in there somewhere.

I went to the meeting at the seirra room tonight for tall house, got an information packet. The rendering looks a lot like the one originally posted here, but a little better. Saw a bunch of soil testing equiptment in the parking lot.

The info packet had some layouts of places on it, with possible floor plans.
