urbanbna 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2006 OK. when i first read this headline, i was shicked, but then i read on. i think it is an ok idea, but also not at the same time. here is a link to the Nashville City Paper article: http://nashvillecitypaper.com/index.cfm?se...s&news_id=48728 Do you think they should allow booze to be served in the new symphony hall, even if it is converted into a flat top for concerts and the like? downtown cliff 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2006 I don't see why not. They have long served wine at conerts and other events at TPAC.
bwithers1 865 Report post Posted March 24, 2006 Yes, why not? Symphonies are good events for wine and cheeze-type events, and why not add coctails? If there is a large ballroom, this place could be a good facility for those upscale singles gatherings that many museums host where the beautiful people come out and get into the society rags. Or even corporate holiday parties.
barakat 184 Report post Posted March 24, 2006 Alcohol should be allowed in a concert venue, no matter how it is configured. For me, it wouldn't be any different than drinking a beer at War Memorial Auditorium with an open-floor arrangement.
