The Palisades on Lake Wylie will host The Outback Championship beginning this year

So people may ask why Charlotte? Besides the first class tennis facility being built organizers said the city has already proven itself.

"There's obviously a huge appetite for sports here. There's a large fan base whether it be NASCAR, the NFL or the NBA,” said Jonathan Venison a spokesperson for the Outback Champions series.
