The BOM Building always photographs well. Sure set a trend in the U.S. with the enclosed crown. Seems every 2nd building designed has one, even for N.Y.C. and Chicago.

Is there a large French population/influence in Charlotte?

Not that I'm aware of. I'm from Charlotte and I'm French/German, but I'm not sure of the history of where the people came from that settled this area. I've never been a huge history buff.

There is some French influence ...but most of the European influence in this area comes from Germany and Scotch/Irish.
