The article mentions regional HQ operations will likely remain there in downtown Greenville. It does not mention anything about a corporate HQ relocation from Georgia.

The latest article on this subject seems to clear up the question:

In recent interviews, Harton said United's corporate headquarters will remain in Georgia. But he did little to hide his intent to build United's operations in the Upstate.

"We'll never move Blairsville to Greenville because Blairsville is too big a piece of who we are," Harton said. "Now, will we continue to grow Greenville? Absolutely."

How did Scansource buy anything, was it a stock deal? Earnings are flat and the equity section looks weak.

CH2M Hill Cos., a large engineering and construction company, is thinking about moving its Spartanburg office with 350 employees to Greenville.

Kent E. Smith, vice president of Spartanburg operations for the Colorado-based company, said CH2M Hill is actively considering several options for relocating the Spartanburg office and is scheduled to make an announcement in mid-summer.

He did not elaborate on the site search in an email to The Greenville News.

The office is currently located in a 100,000-square-foot building near the intersection of Interstate 85 and Interstate 26. Smith said it specializes in work related to chemicals, biotechnology, life sciences and manufacturing.

If it moves to Greenville, the office would add to what is already a significant presence by the engineering and construction industry in Greenville.

Greenville is already home to major offices of large engineering and construction companies such as Fluor Corp., Jacobs Engineering Group and Day & Zimmermann, as well as smaller companies such as Greenville-based O’Neal Inc.

CH2M Hill’s Spartanburg office would bring a long and distinguished history to Greenville.

It was formerly headquarters for Lockwood Greene Engineers Inc., one of the nation’s oldest engineering firms, with roots going back to 1832 and New England, according to a history in the online archives of the Smithsonian Institution.

Lockwood, Greene and Co., as the company was once known, designed many historic buildings and textile mills, including Piedmont Manufacturing Co. and Monaghan Mill in Greenville County, according to the Smithsonian archives and a National Register of Historic Places listing on file at the state Department of Archives and History.

The company moved its headquarters to Spartanburg from Boston in the late 1960s, according to the history in the Smithsonian archives.

Lockwood Greene was owned by J.A. Jones, a Charlotte-based engineering and construction company, before CH2M Hill of Englewood, Colorado, paid $95.5 million for it in 2003 as part of a U.S. Bankruptcy Court auction.

So they will add jobs even as they reduce space by 30%.  I wish Holder would include some spec space too in the building, but I guess CH2M might not like that.
