Wyoming Delphi plant safe...for now

Recommended Posts

A bit of good news for these folks, however temporary.

Delphi Corp. plans to cut as many as 8,500 salaried workers, or 25% of its white-collar workforce globally, and is seeking to sell or close most of its U.S. manufacturing plants as part of a massive restructuring of the automotive parts supplier.

Delphi will close or sell 23 of 31 U.S. manufacturing plants, leaving sites in Flint and Saginaw vulnerable. A plant near Grand Rapids is the only one to remain open.
