In all honesty, Atlanta's a league ahead of most of these.

The density of richmond's skyline is unmatched in the south (except by maybe nawlens). Old cities like that just develped before the age of the car and superhighway. I love the old charm!

ATL wins, so I voted for who I thought would be second. So, I went with Columbia. Maybe I'm just biased... but it's got density on its side.

^That it does. Richmond also has great density for a city its size. But Atlanta's skyline is definitely in its own league here. But that didn't stop me from voting for my own capital city.

I voted ATL. I started to be bias and vote for my own city but Atlanta wins this by a land slide. Richmond is a nice capital city, but atlanta is a world class capital city.

What the hell. Obviously Atlanta wins but that's an unfair comparison.

For cities that are smaller LRs' got a great skyline, especially the panorama that takes in the River Market and all of the new constuction there (which I don't have).

I personally believe, for its size, Little Rock has an amazing skyline. So on the list of capitol cities, I'd say Little Rock takes it.

Little Rock is quite good for its size. I don't like Austin's skyline very much. Richmond isn't too bad overall but there aren't any old buildings among the talls.

Here are some pictures of Oklahoma City, which obviously can't beat Atlanta but IMO is in third place behind Nashville.

Unfortunately, in many cases the skyline is so densely clustered that you cannot see all of the buildings.

Notice, the question is which is your "FAVORITE" Southern capital city skyline. Although Atlanta's has more skyscrapers and is more expansive, that doesn't mean that it's everyone's favorite.

Richmond is probably my fav. Just the way it spreads along the river. Coming in from the south on 95, the skyline seems to go on for days. Must say, I think Little Rock is a close second. Love Little Rock. A very progressive, upscale city that doesn't receive the credit it deserves. Beautiful setting and beautiful area of the country. Love coming in from the west on 635....very urban!
