This article is in today's, May 16th Fayetteville Observer. It is about Kiplinger's Personal Finance Magazine ranking Fayetteville in the top 5 best cities in the country for mid-level professionals between the ages of 30 and 44 with no children. It is one of several recent articles that are showing Fayetteville on the move. I am certainly glad to see that Fayetteville is starting to show it's true character and quality of life. I hope that others' who seem to think Fayetteville is such a bad place do a little research, or better yet, come to Fayetteville and check it out. Friday, May 25th is Fourth Friday in Historic Downtown; please come and see for yourself the positive changes - the time frame is 7p.m. on... Bring the family, it is geared for everyone, especially the new Festival Park and it's Promenade.

Finally....

I know I've been quiet for an while because of college summer school, but great news on what I've been waiting about 7 months of the largest indoor skate park on the eastcoast has just open today (June 16). If you can remember my oldest research about this project that this would most like attract skate riders from all over the mid-south. I'm so glad were the 1st to do it on the east. Now its time to get big promotional show: X-games, ESPN, etc. Plus lets not forget just north of the mega skate park there opening of Docks at the Capitol this fall. Also I notice Sprawlville (West Fayetteville) major land infill program is moving head strong. I'm seeing lots dense Apartment complexes and on the eastside River Bluff is almost completed.

Yes here is video footage of the park from there website.

Heres am article about the Fayetteville channel I only viewed it once when I was down there for Memorial day with my family. I kinda neat, I learned a couple of French words & phrase within 30 mins. Plus I learn why pouring grease down the sink is bad.....LOL :silly: The TV station is headedquarter at FTCC in Fayetteville. Its shared with other areas in Fayetteville as well: Fayetteville State Univ., Fort Bragg, Pope AFB, & Methodist College. Well it beats watching MTV late night. Seriously

I was in DT Fayetteville for the "International Folk Festival" this last Saturday. Lots of people eating and walking downtown. I noticed these condos going up DT on Hay Street...they look great :) These condos break the mold in design; Fayetteville is going more for an old-fashioned look instead of the typical boring modern or post-modern look many cities are going for.

Congrats to Fayetteville

Hey guys I got some good new Downtown Fayetteville is jumping again but the only problem is we need more parking, to be honest from my expriences Fayetteville is finally starting to shine, but the pedestrian night life is still dead! Even Army soldiers hang around downtown

Fayetteville is becoming a major contender for the hub of Southeastern NC, I can't wait when these finals (college) are over so I can finally enjoy "da ville" (My hometown)....

Oh yeah Person street is next on the list for downtown development (Finally)

Here some history about Fayetteville, & the master plan which really hasn't changed which stated they want a New Orleans feel downtown... I still think Fayetteville can pull it off, when they stretch the downtown development out Eastern.

& the Huske Hardware House (restaurant) is back!
