53 story condo tower on top of 4 stories of retail. Under construction, with completion in 2008.

Aloft Hotel

17 story hotel tower with 175 hotel rooms. On top of 4 stories of retail with completion in 2007.

EpiCentre

4 story retail building. 265,000 sq.ft. of retail, 60,000 sq.ft. of office space. Includes bowling/movie theatre/etc... with completion in 2007.

Vue Charlotte

51 story condo tower with 6,000 sq.ft. of retail at its base. Completion in 2008/9.

Berkman Tower at Carolina Theatre

21 story condo tower on top of 10 stories of parking. Includes rennovation of the Carolina Theatre. Completion TBD

17 story condo tower with 7,500 sq.ft. retail. Completed

4 story condos with two retail parcels. Completion in Fall 2006.

Ritz-Carlton Charlotte

15 story hotel tower with ground level retail. Located across the Bank of America Corporate Headquarters. Completion in early 2008.

The Park

21 story condo tower on top of 4 stories of parking. 7,500 sq.ft. of retail. Completion in late 2007.

230 South Tryon

Rennovated 13 story office tower into condos. Street level retail with completion in mid 2006.

Avenue

36 story condo tower with 10,000 sq.ft. retail space. Completion in early 2007.

500 West Trade

10-15 story residential tower with 30,000 sq.ft. retail. Completion in 2008.

Citadin

Two 25 story condo towers. Two 10 story condo towers. 20,000 sq.ft. of retail and parking. First residences complete in 2007.

Royal Court Condos

13 story condo tower with construction starting in 2006.

615 East Morehead

34 story condo tower with completion TBD. Chance that will not be built.

Wachovia 1st Street Complex

~46 story LEED certified office tower. ~30 story condo tower. 2,500 space underground parking garage. 1,200 seat theatre, Wake Forest Business School, Mint Museum, Bechtler Museum. Completion in 2009.

Trademark

28 story condo tower with retail/offices/parking on lower levels. Completion in late 2006.

NASCAR Hall of Fame

130,000 sq.ft NASCAR Hall of Fame and a 300,000 sq.ft. NASCAR office tower. Completion in late 2009.

Mecklenburg County Courthouse

8 story courthouse with completion in early 2007.

Courthouse Parking Deck

8 story parking deck with 7,500 sq.ft. of retail. Complete.

Garrison at Graham

11 story condos with completion in 2007.

10th St. Townhomes

5 story residential. 9 brownstones, completion in late 2006/early 2007.

Warehouse 3

6 story condos. Will not be built. Likely replaced with another project.

Twelve Charlotte

Levine Childrens Hospital

12 story Childrens Hospital. Under construction.

Uptown Baseball Stadium

Baseball stadium uptown. Consruction TBD. Would serve the Charlotte Knights AAA team.

UNC Charlotte Academic Building

5 story academic building which would include offices. Completion in 2009.

Johnson and Wales Business School

4 story academic building with completion in late 2007. No Rendering.

First Ward Urban Village

Will include a four acre park, 1,500 space underground parking deck, 400,000 sq.ft. civic space, 450,000 sq.ft. of office space, 250,000 sq.ft. of retail space, 2,700 residential units and 250 hotel rooms. Already announced is TWELVE Charlotte.

Gateway Station

Approx. 5 story transportation building/ mixed use. Would house AMTRAK/ GREYHOUND/ CATS/ etc...

South LRT

Completion in fall 2007. Light Rail Project from Uptown Charlotte heading South.

Center City Streetcar

Streetcar through uptown Charlotte. Consruction start in 2007. Completion in 2009.

Third Ward Park

Includes the 12,000 seat baseball stadium and a 5.2 acre park.

Little Sugar Creek Greenway

15 mile greenway project. Will spur development around it and will serve as recreation.

United States National Whitewater Center

Completion in Spring 2006.

Great compilation including some renderings I've never seen....only two quick notes.

200 W. 10th is now going to be 9 brownstones instead of 24 condos, and the name is now 10th St. Townhomes.

Warehouse 3 is definitely dead in the water in present form, though something else will likely be proposed at that site.

It's amazing to see all of this together.

I think the floor count on the berkman should be different, I think its 10 stories of parking and 21 stories of condos, so 31 stories

Also the Garrison floor count is 11 since all the condos are 2 story and one very tall level of parking.

I was just thinking... 2006 may be the busiest year in terms of construction in Uptown. Think of everything that will be worked on this year:

Vue, Avenue, Citadin, Park, 210 Trade, EpiCentre, Ritz Carlton, 230 S. Tryon, Wachovia 1st St. Project, Wach Main, Royal Court, TWELVE, Trademark, ETC... I wonder what the max number of cranes in Center City will be this year.
