My problem with the musica nudie statue is that there is a double standard. That's ok even though it offends many Nashvillians.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but the only people who are "offended" by that statue because of the nudity are, well, rubes. I mean that in all charity. And what on Earth does the ACLU or crosses have to do with anything?

(Whether it's good art is another question--I don't think it's particularly good art, but my goodness---to think that nudity in art is somehow "dirty" or "pornographic" is the height of puritanical silliness.)

To each his or her own, BNA. At least I have the Bible to back up some of what I believe about that statue. What's your point of reference?
