The former Bi-Lo on Clemmonsville Rd. is now a 'Mega Thrift.' It is an independantly owned thrift store, not quite sure if they've opened quite yet, but the signage is up and the WSJ ran an article the other day about it.

The Shoppes at WalMart continue to progress, there is now a sign up for the development advertising 'Burger King', 'Bruegger's Bagels', and 'Quiznos.'

I'll try to post a photo update by the end of the week!

The proposed Goodwill Industries building will cost $5 million and create 25 new jobs. The 46,000 square-foot training center, retail outlet and clearance center will expand operations into an area with a lot of growth. Goodwill will break ground by the end of summer and open in late spring 2009. The clearance center has further markdowns then you would get a regular Goodwill.

the owners of Bon Appetit in downtown will be opening a hookah bar on the 25th in the Southside shopping center next to Blockbuster. Oasis Cafe's hours are 5-midnight - 7 days a week. its also supposed to have an internet cafe, Wi-Fi and belly dancing on Fri. & Sat.
