Baton Rouge Photo of the Day

^ I agree twstd. Hopefully II City Plaza and the new Courthouse will be the catalyst for more growth. I'm also a firm believer(like you) in "build it" and they will come. II City Plaza has roughly 2/3 of it's Class A office space already taken.

Sunset falls at the end of Government Street. My question is??....what could they have done differently to dress-up the bland walls(far right) of the River Center. It has a very nice looking entrance on the other side at River Road; but Government Street looks rather plain.

I think this small slope is part of the bluff of the Miss. River. I think the slope is pretty cool.

Yes Richy that slope is a part of the bluff for the river. Before the levee's were built, that area would flood. When the waters receded, pools of water were left with catfish trapped in them. That's where the name Catfish Town came from for that area just south of the USS Kidd Museum.

Hey guys, I just saw this and thought I'd share with you guys. This is a Baton Rouge photographer posting a downtown engagement session on my favorite photography forum. I'm a fan of this guy's work... he's excellent. His shooting partner actually turned me on to his work. The partner is a female who used to live here in Shreveport, so she messaged me once to say "hello." I'm glad she told me about him...

Enjoy...
