That was originally the Shaw Bldg....but CB&I purchased it.  Always have liked that 12-story building on Essen / I-10

Thanks for posting all the pics KJHburg!  I enjoyed the tour from your perspective!  Hope you enjoyed our mid sized city!

It's a challenge taking pics of the downtown riverfront from a top the bridge:o:lol:

Decided to post this old pic rather than leave blank......Not the best pic cruising down Perkins Road + on a cloudy day .....

Village @ Willow Grove ....8 miles SE of Downtown

I've never been so hungry that I thought "I should wash commercial and skyscraper windows for extra cash".   If that was one of the last jobs on earth, I'd probably starve.

Lol! Is that even the proper washing method?

I guess.

His priority is as follows:  1.  Don't get dead.  2.   Don't break anything and 3.  Wash Windows.

You never know where the tip of the 450 ft' tall State Capitol is gonna pop up!

Stop making "just the tip" jokes with the historic buildings, Richy.   It's unbecoming of an upstanding citizen like yourself.   :)

You know how I know this area is serviced by Entergy?

The complete lack of care or concern over the appearance of their transformer boxes.....  I hope that's just rust and not bird poop.

Hope you went to Pinetta's while you were there (and that Pinetta's is still open).

You still in GA??

Totally forgot to respond to this.

When there's not a pandemic, I'm just as likely to be in Dallas, Chicago, Pittsburgh or San Fran.    My house, family, and my stuff is in Georgia, but not for long.    Moving to BATON ROUGE around Thanksgiving of this year.   :yahoo:

Yep!  I bought a piece of land NOT in a flood prone area; and we are working with a local architect this summer.  A friend of mine that does a lot of home renovations in Baton Rouge will be building our house.   This will be our 'forever' home; so this is the place we hope to watch our kids grow up while we grow old.

I told you guys we were trying to move back.    It just took a little longer than expected.    We wanted to wait for her parents to move to Louisiana from Dallas, and they have.   They are looking forward to being close to their grand kids.
