"New Charlotte" and Nightlife

I'm from the Washington DC metropolitan area and took a trip out to Charlotte about two months ago. Charlotte has a lot to offer. I like how it is "progressing" but still has that conservative edge to it. Charlotte has a long ways to go as far as diversity, etc. but it is getting there. It's something that is definitely needed.

How are the changes and advancements in Charlotte affecting the nightlife and entertainment? This is a topic I've yet to see discussed. Anyone have information on new developments? These developments are huge money-makers for owners and good for the city.
