Grand Rapids has bus lanes the same way we have form-based non-exclusive zoning: sorta, kind, maybe, not really.

Grand Rapid's motto should be changed to: "A great city, despite half-assing every damn thing!"

The Rapid's in the process of moving the majority of their Admin staff from the building next door to the unused 2nd and 3rd floors of Central Station to cut down on expenses. I believe that is part of the major renovations required for the move.

Good place for a brewery.  The bus drivers can hang out there before their shifts and won't have to walk across the street from Founders.

Saw a Laker Line bus training today. They are the two sectioned busses with the accordion in the middle. It was big.

Not sure if anyone missed it at all but the  Amtrak Pere Marquette service was suspended awhile ago because of covid-19.

I'm liking seeing the articulated busses for the LL. and the stops on Michigan hill now service TWO routes and has signage for the SL and LL. [emoji2962] Starting to almost look like we have a transit system.

I think August 28th, maybe the 31st?  The stop under 131 looks really great too.  They tore up all the intersections with stops on Fulton and put down pavers.

For the past several days, I've been seeing the articulated Laker Line buses stopping at the stations up and down Lake Michigan Dr. I assume the drivers assigned to the route are currently being trained.  I absolutely love the looks of the busses. Kind makes it seem like little ol' Grand Rapids has finally put on its big city pants.

I have also recently seen Laker Line buses using the parking lot from the former GM stamping plant on 36th Street for practice.

Laker Line began service yesterday.   Bummer of a time to bring on an articulated bus.  It was empty when I saw it, but that's sort of expected all things considered.
