Entergy Information Technology Center

5 posts in this topic

Entergy is creating an IT Center in Little Rock. They are combining what was in New Orleans and Mississippi to create this new IT Center in Little Rock. There's no time frame on when they will begin operations. They say it will take some time to move everything from the gulf coast. No word on how many new jobs this will create. They are moving their hq back to New Orleans from Mississippi. In addition to the new IT center in LR, they are also creating a new billing center in Hammond, LA.

The IT jobs that will be relocating to the Little Rock will be professional and most of them high paying. The workers moving to Arkansas will be a mix of IT professionals from corporate headquarters and contract employees from SAIC, one of the nation's largest research and engineering companies.

I thought this was very good news. It was about time for Entergy to give something back to Arkansas.

Yeah, It's nice to finally get more than a rate hike out of them. They're trying to raise our rates by 10%, but that's on hold with the commission.
