New Orleans' Riverfront

These pictures are from the French Quarter Fest yesterday, most of which takes place on the Riverfront. This thread will be another long one, but the last one of my New Orleans threads for quite some time, the downtown thread, will be pretty short.

This suprised the heck out of me. A blue and yellow streetcar on the Riverfront Line! Though it's actually a Saint Charles Ave. streetcar just painted over, I thought it looked pretty cool.

And to finish off the thread, some barge activity on the Mighty Mississippi

When I was a little kid I used to just love to sit along the river and watch the barges go by, and then see where they were from. And I still like to do that today.

The Coast Guard boat looks like a toy compared to those barges

Not the most interesting or colorful pictures, but I was trying to provide some views of the/from the Riverfront that you may not see that often. Hope you liked them!

Very nice. The main thing I love about the Mississippi River in the New Orleans and Baton Rouge areas is how busy it is with ship and barge traffic. I'd honestly rather see that than bass boats or speed boats on a river in an urban area any day.

Awesome pics. Ive actually never seen the Mississippi before. So thanks for the experience New Orleans is definately on my list of places to visit soon.
