In memory of Jane Jacobs...

I just heard on the BBC radio that author and urbanist Jane Jacobs, most memorable for her book 'The Death and Life of Great American Cities' has passed away.

Its a loss of a great american urban thinker and advocate to which one could argue the entire New Urbanist movement in indebted too.

I heard about this on the radio tonight as well. There's already a thread in the

Urban Discussion section. Very sad news.
