I meant to post this awhile ago, but just now thought about it.

A 12.5 million dollar Rec Center has been proposed for UT-Martin, as it is currently the only Tennessee University without a center dedicated solely for student use. Currently the Elam Center (1975), home to the university's basketball facilities (and many other athletic programs) and the campus pool, serves a dual role for many of the services a new Rec Center would provide soley for students; thus a new Student Rec would would allow the Elam Center to serve the athletic department almost exclusively (aside from the indoor balcony track and pool facilities). Seems a little over due.
