Repairs needed on recent South Division work

Whoever chose the brick they used at the corners didn't think to test

it for slippery footing. Was walking to a gallery late winter and a kind

Heartside gent warned me as he passed to be careful on the brick

and he was right. Extremely slippery as I stepped off into the street

and walked past those corners. Just as I warned a woman passing

she slipped right onto all fours. I've avoided walking that brick in any

kind of wet weather and am glad they're replacing it. Seems pretty

stupid the issue wasn't prevented in the first place. The sidewalk IS

pretty uneven and it will be nice to have that fixed but I really feel

for the business district - I hope the city will make reconstruction as

fast and painless as possible.
