Yes welcome to UP. We do seem to attract quite a few people dealing with real estate. :D

Thanks for the greetings to the group. I'll participate when I have time. Seems like a good group.

BTW, mith242, I clicked on your flickr photo collection and you have some beautiful Fayetteviille photos--so many of them!

Thanks. Yeah I guess you can say photography is a hobby of mine.

Stormcrow...been lurking for a while. City-Data regular finally decided to come over this way. Fayetteville will always be home but I'm living near the Rock now after a 6 year exile near the armpit of the east coast...Baltimore.

Hey welcome to the forum. :D

ericdjohnson - in case this topic is sitll active, tho it's been almost 2 years since the last post. I just joined. I'm doing (academic) research on NWA. From Fayetteville but live elsewhere right now.

Great to see a new contributor- welcome. Just curious- how did you find Urban Planet and what type of research are you doing?

Just poking around online! It's great to see that the NWA boards are some of the most active. Normally Arkansas seems poorly represented online.

Welcome to the forum!

You're exactly right. Now that I'm in Little Rock, it's almost impossible to find out what projects are planned/what's changing with the city unless you get lucky and happen to know someone "in the know". In NWA it's a lot easier to keep tabs on the changes, big projects, and plans for growth since they're a lot more upfront about it and this forum is pretty good at staying on top of it. There's a lot of growth and change going on in both regions, it's just a hell of a lot easier to find out about up there!

Yeah luckily NWA has had good representation on here. Things have slowed down a bit. Back a couple of years ago NWA was ironically one of the top ten forums on Urban Planet. Gran Rapids Mich also has a huge following and has a lot of activity. Just sorta funny how it works out. You can see other metros much larger than ours that just don't ever get anything going.
