I still think the loss of 615 Peachtree is tragic. Decatur has preserved and re-adapted several similar office buildings from that era, and they lend a lot of graciousness and charm to its wonderful urban environment.

Here are some photos of the building and the surrounding area, showing what a prominent place it occupied in Atlanta's history. It's 46 years old (whereas the Winecoff was only 36 years old when it fell into ruin) and is probably one of the best remaining examples of its genre. It's disappearing, to be replaced by a grass lot.
