Myriad now has plans for six casinos:

If it's actually done, I wonder if it would kill off the rest of Tunica.

Well if nobody is intrested in the Myriad or there is no worldwide marketing, it probably will. Most of the visitors to Tunica are from TN, MS, AR, AL, and MO but the Myriad will probably attract people from across North America. More tourists will keep all the casinos happy.

Its the only domed golf course I know of (except the one being developed in Canada by the same company) so it might attract another PGA event that'll pay enough to attract the big names. People from up north might come down on winter vacation to play golf and since its domed, and there is no worry about being rained out like you would in Florida.

The botanical gardens are also expected to be a draw along with the ski dome. Isn't this gonna be the only ski dome in the western hemisphere? Theres one in Tokyo and another in Dubai. Dunno if there's one in Vegas.

I hear there's a dome proposed in Phoenix. Don't think it's for skiing, but for golf. But I could be wrong. What this might expose is the folly in having casinos so sprawled out from each other, especially if Myriad is tight together . . .

Groundbreaking has been pushed back to July of 2007 <_<

well, just because construction doesn't actually begin until July, doesn't mean the groundbreaking has been pushed back. I wonder if there's a report on that somewhere. Infrastructure improvements must come first, of course, though I hope this isn't a sign of trouble.
