Hey, I've been to the Audubon Aquarium! Thoroughly enjoyable.

Glad to hear you enjoyed it! It really is a great aquarium, and it's in a great location right there next to the River.

Here's a shot of the 406 foot Dominion Tower in New Orleans. The opposite side of the building was severely damaged from winds in Katrina, but is being repaired. Under the massive plan for a $716 million jazz park in downtown New Orleans, this building could become the city's new City Hall.

Great pictures, especially the Dominion! :D

Here are a couple shots from Dallas of the Spaghetti Warehouse in the West End...

This is a HUGE building for a restaurant. It's extremely long and narrow, and like other Spaghetti Warehouse locations it has a trolley inside that you can dine in. I enjoyed doing that.

Cool. What's so infamous about it? Is it just well-known?

Its been under way too many different owners in such a short amount of time. Its been sitting there, almost untouched for years. A developer from Virginia Beach just bought it, and he sounds promising. So we shall see where he goes with it. Another famous, older hotel is the King Edward in Jackson, Mississippi if Im not mistaken, which has just begun renovation.

The current owner seems to be worthless so far and he's owned it for at least 2 years it seems. The plan is to transform the 16-story former hotel, built in 1928, into over 200 apartments, which will gradually become condos after 5 years. A six story addition will be added to the rear of the building. The ground floor will include retail, meeting spaces, a grocery store, and other amenities. And best of all, the Rooftop sign will be restored and relit. That's the plan, but we'll see if the owner can pull it off. If not, sell it to someone who can.

Did I miss something. If the bicentenial was in 1976 how is the 400th anniversary come about in 2007?

The Town of Jamestown was settled in 1607. Meaning next year would be the 400th Anniversary. So it's really the 400th Anniversary of the settlement of America.

America's 400th Anniversary

"In 2007, Virginia and America's first permanent English settlement, will turn 400. The Commonwealth of Virginia, invites the world, to join us in commemorating America's 400th Anniversary."

It's basically the 400th anniversary of the land of "America" and its first settlement, not the anniversary of the United States of America.
