Here's 2 examples of why old dilapadated buildings shouldn't be torn down...

From Richmond's Church Hill neighborhood which is experiencing quite a lot of gentrification... I didn't take these photos, so here are the links:

Wow, those buildings are great. They're a good example of modern architecture. I really like them. When were they built?

The brick building you see in the foreground of the last pic is the old Auto Hotel. It was build back in the 1920's. The glass building was built in 2003-04 and opened in March 2005.

Great photos Byrde. What a view. You can even see Tiger Stadium in the background to the right. The Shaw Center blends in well with the old State Capitol and it's modern architecture. The Shaw Arts Center has been good for the revitalization of downtown Baton Rouge.

Nice shots of the impressive Richmond and the premeir Louisiana Boardwalk.
