That's a really nice park along the canal, and the landscaping is beautiful! Is that downtown Columbia in the background in the last shot?

Part of the background is a hard-to-see small section of downtown. Most of what you see are an apartment complex and AT&T's downtown office building.

That's a perspective rarely seen! That new tower fllls a nice spot in the skyline. Is the grassy area in the forefront zoned for development?

It is. It's part of the CanalSide development. The building to the right in the picture with the orange-colored facade is part of the first phase of the project, which is apartments. Condos, townhomes, and single family residential will be part of future phases. That entire site is used to be where the old state prison sat--occupying prime riverfront land. The fountain in the other picture I posted was constructed from old granite cell blocks from the prison.

Brent, that's a great shot; the new MWV headquarters building looks really good.

Yupp.. the track is almost completely laid except for the immediate downtown district.. All that's left is stations, electrical wires/poles, and testing..
