That's a perspective rarely seen! That new tower fllls a nice spot in the skyline. Is the grassy area in the forefront zoned for development?

It is. It's part of the CanalSide development. The building to the right in the picture with the orange-colored facade is part of the first phase of the project, which is apartments. Condos, townhomes, and single family residential will be part of future phases. That entire site is used to be where the old state prison sat--occupying prime riverfront land. The fountain in the other picture I posted was constructed from old granite cell blocks from the prison.

Brent, that's a great shot; the new MWV headquarters building looks really good.

Those are awesome, Richy! Baton Rouge knows how to take advantage of its prime riverfront real estate!
