It isn't just Greenville. They're trying to stop the spread. I don't like it, but carelessness isn't good either.

Adam Sandler at the Well is also postponed. Expect more events here, at the Peace Center, and throughout the area to get cancelled.

Also. It's a NCAA decision, not Greenville. They are doing this at all of them.

NCAA tournament cancelled. Several events at Peace Center also postponed.

Waiting official word but word on the street is that the Greenville Swamp Rabbits game and probably the rest of them this season has been cancelled.

Columbia's Vista was expected to have a nice go with the women's regional, as USC is the top seeded team in the country. I hate that for all the bars and restaurants, and hotels, taxi drivers, Uber, Lyft, etc, that have been adversely impacted by what is happening. Having said that, I can't say I disagree with the decision to shut things down, even if I am not changing the way I live my life, personally.

BSWA announced today that they have selected a new food and beverage partner for the arena, replacing Centerplate who has been there since the building opened. Levy is the F&B provider for many of the larger venues around us.

Greenville was awarded the NCAA basketball tournament first and second rounds again for 2026 today. Furman and the Southern Conference will again be hosts. They also got the women’s regional finals for 2023. Of course the men’s first and second rounds were already scheduled for 2022 at the Well. Good news and assuming the Well will be reopen by then.

“The Southern Conference and Furman University will co-host the events after the city was selected out of more than 3,000 bid applications for 86 of the 90 NCAA events.

The two events are expected to bring an $11.6 million in economic spending to the Upstate and 26,000 attendees. “
