Actually, a long time ago some genius came up with the idea to create things called "sections," and here is the really innovative part, they decided to number/alphabetize those sections. That way when you are trying to find your seat or someone asks you where you are sitting you simply say "I am sitting in section 7, meet me at the entrance to section 7." It is a fabulous system that is used in all venues. BTW, the song around the top would be really tacky. They tried adding a maize and blue(that was actually yellow and blue) halo several years ago and people just about rioted.

From the Halo article:

"Bollinger said the upcoming renovations to the stadium will be "a much more public process," although he is not certain how the Athletic Department will garner community opinion.

In September, Bollinger said "the renovations to the stadium were a mistake. We were rushed and we did not have sufficient public commentary on the changes.""

Glad to see that they learned their lesson and decided to have the stadium renovation in a much more public process. (sarcasm, just in case somebody did not understand)

So what's the deal with graduation??? I haven't heard anything recently except that EMU was kind enough to allow U of M to hold their graduation ceremonies at Rynearson Stadium. I would think that this would cause quite the uproar with students. As if going to another school for graduation would destroy your life.

Honestly I don't see what's so bad with that. :P

Personally, a diag graduation sounds awful. Of course it depends on what they do to actually make the diag a venue but I cannot picture it much more than a stage and a bunch of folding chairs. Couple in a temp loud speaker system, and it won't be that much fun. But if you want it on your turf that is ok too. Just do not expect much.

Looks like they've come to an agreement. We will temporarily lose our biggest stadium status though

btw, are people allowed to stand in unoccupied handicap seats? Actually, I should ask if they would enforce that. People sit/stand in the aisle stairways already which I'm surprised security has little reaction to.
