Tree Ordinance

Outside of historic city neighborhoods and planned developments where residents and investors have an interest in preserving attractiveness most sites are stripped bare of trees. I am guessing there is a vague ordinance somewhere lost in the bureaucracy but its only enforced if complaints are made.

Why thank you MC glad to see that its been around since 78 but judging from some of the development it does not seem to be very strict.

Strengthening this ordinance apparently is back under discussion, though developers are showing up at the meetings to express concern at the increased costs it will bring to development efforts.

Interesting, though: Some residents are now petitioning the city for more financial support of street trees.
