Actually, Seattle just abandoned the concept of building height limits entirely in April of this year.

yes, but the CAP initiative had nothing to do with the faa and boeing field. the CAP initiative made a height limit considerably less than what the faa would "allow."

a little story about the columbia center. the builder wanted to commemorate his father by making it 76 stories which was his father's age. the faa created problems saying that it would be too tall for boeing field. the developer still wanted to keep it 76 stories..... so he shaved the height of each floor.

in any respect........ if any building proposed approached this "unofficial" limit, the faa would promply start creating problems. CAP had nothing to do with this limit.
