"Loud City" as we have come to be known since the Hornets showed up on our doorstep, is truly a hotbed for sports. Just this weekend we have the Big XII Baseball Tourney, for which we are the new permanent home, and the Sr PGA Tournament going on.

In addition, the NBA just finished its first season here and will stay here at least one more season, and OKC is considered on of their priorities for expansion if the Hornets return to New Orleans. The Blazers CHL team consistently rank at the top of the league's attendance standings year after year. The Redhawks minor league team has been successful drawing crowds this season. Yard Dawgz Arena Football season is underway. A few months ago the NCAA national wrestling championships were here. Big XII Softball tournament now completed, with Softball College World Series beginning next week. Millions of dollars in improvements for dams to increase water levels have made the Oklahoma River south of downtown OKC a very popular venue for rowing events. Thousands of participants ran in the OKC National Memorial Marathon. The NCAA Men's Gymnastics Finals and the Junior Olympics are two major gymnastics events that just occurred in the city. Next year the Big XII Basketball tournament coming to OKC.
