Houston being such a great urban city to take pics; hard to believe there is such little activity here on UP. If I did not live nearly 300 miles to the east in Baton Rouge; I would take pics here all the time. Only wish I had more time to take pics on my most recent visit.

Nice pics Antrell! Discovery Green is a nice addition to downtown's concrete jungle...a new 29-story Marriott Marquis is currently under construction next to it...with a one of a kind Texas-shaped Lazy River on top of the parking garage! sorry do not have pic

Here is one of my favorite new skyscrapers in Houston...built in 2010 "BG Group Place" 630'ft tall/46-floors;(15th Tallest in Houston) complete with Skygarden!

More photos from today of the EaDo  East End East Downtown area and all the new housing mainly for sale townhome, duplex or very close together single family homes. This area is booming with new housing which is a good thing right near downtown.

Some great adaptive reuse of older buildings in downtown Houston. Not all glass boxes downtown. Most of these older office buildings were converted to apartments or hotels.

Various photos the Uptown Galleria area and downtown  yesterday.  The Rosemont Pedestrian bridge has such great view of the skyline.

Houston is not all new buildings either much like my home of Charlotte historical older buildings are dwarfed by the larger taller buildings in the city.  Here are some of Houston's best.  The Rice Hotel now apartments,  The old Texaco building becoming condos.  WeWork renovated the 1920s Jones Building,  the new JW Marriott is the 1910 Carter Building.  And of course the historical buildings at Sam Houston Park in the shadows of the skyscrapers.

Any event that attracts 2 million people over 20 days and has 34,000 volunteers like the Houston Livestock and Rodeo deserves a few photos.  My visit this week.  In concert that night Luke Combs.   If you have never been I would ask why not?  The largest rodeo on planet earth!

The Woodlands this past week.   This city suburb 30 miles north of downtown is a major employment center in its own right.  The Woodlands has 2 30 plus story office towers both for Anadarko Petroleum. 

Hughes Landing, Market Street, the Waterway district.
