I don't think I've ever seen this part of the Atlanta metro. I was wondering what part of the metro is Marietta located?

Marietta is located in the Northwest part of the metro in Cobb County, along I-75.

Not to hijack your thread, but your Strand is a very familiar sight to me. Our Strand theater has almost an identical marquee to the one in your photo, and was renovated some years back. And the backers of the building? You guessed it... "Friends of the Strand!"

The Strand was a very common name for theaters in the early 1900s. I'm not sure if it was an actual chain, but I do know that many cities have their own "Strand" theater dating from that same era.
