Where are your favorite places to eat anywhere in the state? They can be chains or local.

Here are some of mine:

* Jonathon B. Pub (in Grand Traverse Mall), Traverse City

* Desi's Taco Lounge, Oscoda

* Lud's Hamburgers, Alpena

* Taco John's (inside BP gas station), Stevensville (Taco John's is a national chain, but this is their only Michigan location)

* Culver's, various locations

LOCAL

Pizzapapalis (greektown location particuarly)

Fishbones (Greektown)

Za's Italian Eatery (Ann Arbor)

Pizza House (Ann Arbor)

Big Ten Burrito (Ann Arbor + E. Lansing)

Good Time Charlies (Ann Arbor)

Frankenmuth Brewing Co. (technically part of the Ann Arbor based Grizzly Peak Chain) Although, the food seems way better at the f'muth location, and the restaurant has one of the coolest designs ever.

NATIONAL/STATEWIDE CHAINS

Buffalo Wild Wings (I've eaten at the AA and Palace of Auburn Hills locations the most)

Culvers (usually the one in Saginaw)

Fridays

Olive Garden (love those breadsticks)

There's a lot of other great restaurants I like, but this list consists of the ones I go to most frequently.

The Big Buck Brewery, in Grand Rapids or Gaylord, they have great prime rib, and I guess they have some of the best ribs around.

The Big Buck in GR has been closed for quite some time (I think 3 years).

What's the deal with Culver's and the butter burgers? I've never been, but the combination sounds sorta uhhh. :sick:

Fricano's Pizza in Grand Haven is a good one. Bullshead Tavern in Grand Rapids has some good food.

Gio's is on M-88 as you approach Bellaire going north, it's just outside of the city. They just opened it up right about the beginning of the year. They're comparable to Salvatore's or Vitale's here, both of which we love too. I highly recommend the Portobella Ravioli!

Oh right, sort of near Bellaire Golf Club. We'll have to check it out around the 4th.

Elias Brither's Big Boy at Rivertown Crossings. I like that zingy sause they put on there hamburgers.

Alpine Ave. Benigans. (The Baby Back Ribs are expensive but worth every penny. Death by Chocolate! Yum!)

Perkins (Verys in what mood I'm in.) Don't go to the 28th / I-96 Location. Its a grease pit. But the rest of the chain is good.

Ruby Tuesdays, (huge manly-man burgers )

Cafeteria in the Standale Meijer store. (The fried Chicken is good. But its the mashed potatos that's heaven. Very Limited Menu though.)

Marge's Doughnut Den. Best Doughnuts in the known universe. Critics of Merge's are consitered as heritics.

what if its a local chain, with like 2 or 3 restaurants?

Oh that's fine dtown. I meant large national chains like Fridays and Applebees. I know there are some local chains like Tony's in Saginaw that are famous for their Steak sandwiches, or Vitale's in Grand Rapids that has great pizza.
