The Press is seeking anyone who has pre-1960 photos of the Grand Rapids area for a book they are creating. Photos will be returned in November.

After reading Chris Knapes blog today I understand why the Press need photos.

Thought it was odd they didn't have an extensive collection from their own

files. Seems they scrapped the negatives in the 60's - another foolish form

of urban renewal. Anyway, one great pic posted on the blog worth taking

a look at. Haven't seen this one yet.
