Charlotteman

Wouldn't a network TV drama "Charlotte" be cool?

Dallas was undoubtedly one of the most popular nighttime TV dramas in history---showcasing the lives and loves of the Ewing family, oil millionaires. The show was top heavy with financial intrigue, as well as continual emotional upheavals.

Wouldn't it be cool if there was a TV drama "Charlotte" centered around fictitious top CEO banking executives in Charlotte, their lives and intrigues?

What would some of the main characters be like? Anyone have any ideas, just a fantasy of mine:)

I think the CEO should have a wacky nextdoor neighboor who would instigate hilarious misadventures every week.

Well it should be like a spinoff of The O.C., called "The Q.C." haha

Would it be too much of a stretch if the starring characters were rich, greedy, evil, plotting investment bankers? Oh no, sorry, that's a reality show. :P

And don't forget the stereotypical rubes from Gastonia who would have to be regulars to make the series apper 'genuinely' Southern.

Better yet, how about a TV show using the old Murhpy in the Morning (1970s morning radio from WAYS) staples, Battlestar Gastonia, Another World in Waxhaw or The Nights and Days of Parker Myers.

And I thought I was the only one who remembered Battlestar Gastonia!!! LOL

During that same era, there was also a radio show called Pass The Loot Club, I think it was on WAYS as well:)

someone should revamp "another world in waxhaw" for TV. it would be great and i would stand a good chance @ being hired as a consultant. however, i can attest that this show would be less like "dallas" and more like "twin peaks"....

ok, with a little dash of "hee-haw".

but seriously enough doesn't everyone here know that we already have "the mecklenburgers" (WTVI) starring suzanne stevens (not to be confused with suzanne somers). what a show!

If there was an episode about 666, Charlotteans or Mecklenburgers can go to Cherryville on Christmas eve for the annual centuries old tradition of firing powder muskets to ward off evil spirits.
