Do you know if they allow cameras?

Cameras cannot be disallowed at a public hearing. But, if anyone intends to tape a public meeting and air the tape on public access television, then the tape must be shown in its entirety with NO editing. (FYI - I've been through this before...)

Was anyone at last night's meeting? I wasn't able to make it, being at work in the hospital much later than I thought I would be (and actually into much of the early AM as well).

Any news from the forum?

Commercial Block Proposal to install a new projecting sign for AS220.

Seems like another light meeting. Again, internally illuminated signs are prohibited downtown?? What is the point of that regulation?

And by a projecting sign, do they mean a hanging sign perpendicular to the sidewalk?

This all really annoys me, why is the Downcity Design Review Committee spinning its wheels on signage? Make a well written and sensible sign law, and allow businesses to put up signs that fall within the bounds of that law, and site those who don't comply. This minutia is a waste of the taxpayers money and a deterrent to businesses that want to come Downcity.
