Here's the latest design drawing for the cruise terminal presented today by the SPA:

I like the conceptual drawing other than all the surface parking. I wish the SPA would find the funding to build a parking deck instead of using surface parking. Think of the land that could be used for other purposes.

At the next BAR meeting on Wed Aug 10, the new cruise terminal will get its first official review. The proposed terminal looks good but I'm sure the BAR will at least have a few [exterior] modification recommendations, as they always seem to do on most projects that they review.

Robert Behr's P&C commentary in today's edition on the proposed new cruise terminal building:

Behre includes in his commentary that he's in favor of a parking deck versus surface parking, which is my biggest complaint about the project. Sure, a parking deck can be added later but it would seem to be more logical to be make it part of the initial project.
