The 96 year-old, 12 story building will be up for auction June 22nd. Nice-looking building with a bit of a tough past. Good to see the focus of potential redevelopment headed toward condos/apartments/hotel vs. indoor storage as previously attempted.

As the article stated this looks like a great old structure to redevelop for mixed use, as the original investors were going to try to do. It sure is a great looking structure, so hopefully someone with the vision and means to get this building redeveloped with acquire it and get this building back into use, and hopefully not as storage.

I found the auction procedure very interesting as well.

That is too good a structure to be mothballed or for storage. It will be great to have the building be used for condos or retail/office space. I love what is being down here in downtown Pittsburgh with all the old structures and art deco/gothic architecture.
