IC's Summer Fun and Festivals in Atlanta

Since I have so many to share this time, I am not going to comment on each and every picture, but I will leave a couple.

A couple weeks ago, I went to Atlanta just to see what was going on. I found a concert by the radio station 99X going on in Centennial Olympic Park and an art festival near Woodruff Park. Some great pictures came out of this. In this thread, I will attempt just to cover the Centennial Park Pictures. My next thread will get the Woodruff Park/Fairlie-Poplar part covered.

People Enjoying the Fountains!

^^^Far be it for me to interfere in someone's personal choices, but there's a lady in this picture who might want to reconsider her decision to wear a bikini.

Nice, as always, IC.

As I was looking at these and thinking about the fact that people are playing downtown, it occurred to me that we should remember that the city of Atlanta is a vibrant, thriving community of residents. I sometimes walk near Chastain Park and Bagley Park, both of which have fantastic youth and community sports facilities. There's championship Little League baseball, soccer, football, being played all over the city. City golf courses and tennis courts are always full of people. Swimming pools are jam packed. The zoo is full of people, as are the museums, the History Center, and our many other cultural attractions. We have beautiful riding facilities, fantastic jogging and biking clubs, highly honored scout troups, and literally hundreds of neighborhood fesitivals and activities. It is neat to see folks coming back into downtown for recreation and leisure, but we shouldn't forget that in the bigger picture the ATL is a really jamming place, swarming with people and communities living the urban life.

*tsk... tsk... tsk...* iron didn't anyone tell you that if you don't have anything nice to say than don't say anything at all. But... since you started,. Anyway, nice pics. Does anyone think COP will ever get boxed in like NYC's Central (with highrise in every direction)?

Irony.....your photography skills are excellent. You definitely have an eye. You are great with capturing action without interference. Great angles. Okay enough gushing....although I could do it all day....I loved the pictures. Thaks for showing activity and PEOPLE in downtown.

P.S....I don't like talking about people. G-d has been very kind to me but some people really need a really big mirror in their dressing rooms at home. Before they leave, they should check all angles of their attire. If it's questionable to you then perhaps one should not wear it. I guess we can look at the bright side.....she has alot of confidence.

Wait until I get the Fairlie-Poplar thread together. I just happened to be there on the same day as an art festival!

If it's her choice to dress like that (and chances are, it was), then I can respect that. I only pointed it out because a lot of people have noticed that when looking in the picture.
